Sixteen
credit unions in Idaho have signed up for a new training program
the League recently introduced to our state. Both large and
small credit unions participated in an online demonstration
with CU Training and were very pleased with what they saw. Some
of our credit unions have even signed up their volunteers to
participate in the 80+ courses covering a variety of credit
union topics.
Developed
by credit union trainers for credit union employees, CU Training
now serves credit unions in the United States and Canada. Everyone
hired at CU Training is a former credit union employee and understands
the credit union difference. It shows in their material.
Many
of our Idaho members had completed their CUNA CPD courses and
were looking for another training venue; others expressed a
need for more comprehensive teller training. CU Training offers
our members and additional education choice. While the CUNA
CPD program remains the standard in education, many credit unions
are finding that CU Training fits their needs as well as their
budget.
This
training program is very affordable. Credit unions purchase
a subscription plan that provides employees with 100% access
to all courses for the term of the subscription. Employees can
take all of the courses and exams for a one time fee per year,
approximately $35 per person. As new courses are added, subscribers
have automatic access to them without additional fees. CU Training
is currently developing several new courses, including an entire
section for volunteer education, and a section on robbery.
Courses
can also be used as online reference material; your own personal
reference library at your fingertips!
Another
advantage of CU Training is that program administrators at each
credit union are able to see who has completed training in any
particular course. For example, you can easily determine who
has completed BSA Training. And, you can also see exactly which
questions a student may have missed on a exam. This allows you
to discuss these specific questions, ensuring that employee
will have a 100% comprehension in any and all areas.
