CU Training Announces the Immediate Availability of “Privacy
Matters”.
NANAIMO, BC CANADA – MARCH 22nd 2006 – CU Training,
a leading developer of credit union training announced the release
of a new course in their Canadian Course Library. The newest course
is called “Privacy Matters” and it deals with privacy
legislation and the impact of privacy issues for credit union
employees. There are now twelve courses in the Orientation Series,
which includes courses on credit union background, operations,
and other compliance programs such as “Money Laundering”.
About “Privacy Matters”
This course
presents information on federal and provincial legislation in
the forms of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documentation Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection
Act (PIPA). It explains how privacy legislation affects the relationship
between credit unions and their members, and the actions employees
who deal with member information must take to protect the confidentiality
of member information.
As
privacy legislation affects all credit union positions, this course
is recommended for all credit union employees.
